I have over 10 years of experience in face-to-face therapeutic work, which began with a 6-month placement at The Children's Society Waves Project in Weymouth, Dorset. In this role, I supported young people with various concerns, from depression and bullying to self-harm and destructive family life. Following this, I volunteered as a trauma therapist for Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre from 2014 – 2017, supporting survivors of sexualised trauma and historical abuse.
After completing my Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling Diploma, I enrolled with The Open University to study counselling, childhood psychology, forensic psychology, and mental health science. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with First-Class Honours.
I continue to expand and update my knowledge regularly by attending workshops, watching webinars and reading research. Some of my professional development courses and seminars over the years include:

-
Transactional Analysis 101
-
Attachment and the early years
-
Understanding panic attacks
-
The neuroscience of trauma
-
Types of relationships
-

-
Trauma-informed interventions for eating disorders
-
Autism awareness
-
Level 3 diploma in anger and aggression management
In 2016, I established my private practice at a quiet holistic health clinic in Blandford Forum, where I work face-to-face with individuals with a range of concerns. This work can be short-term or long-term, depending on individual requirements.
Since 2019, I have also worked with Leonardo Carer Support, helping unpaid carers manage their mental health with 6 free sessions. In 2023, I began working with The Dorchester Trust for Counselling and Psychotherapy, which offers up to 52 subsidised, low-cost counselling sessions.
Alongside my work with private clients, I am an affiliate counsellor for numerous Employee Assistance Programmes and private health insurance providers.

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
